NATURAL SOUND SLEEP: AN UNDERESTIMATED BLESSING (A BLURB)

Sound Sleep is a state of having the bests of ones natural and periodic state of rest in which the persons consciousness of the world is totally suspended. Sound sleep is one of the best way of coming off stress. According to World Health Organisation (WHO), an average adult needs a minimum of eight hours of sleep daily. Recent advances such as urbanization, Internet, lifestyle, technology has reduced the duration of this much needed rest in adults to five to six hours and some even lower. Hence, it results to insomnia (Chronic Sleeplessness) which may also arise due to stress such as societal, emotional, psychological, Health, work just to mention a few.
Natural Sound Sleep is so underrated because majority now rely on the use of synthetic substances such as sedatives, alcohol, illicit drugs as a way of steering sound sleep. On the other hand, there are very few who can go as long as eight hours sleeping without intake of any synthetic substance and these may be due to body morphology and/or they are passing through less stress. Statistics have shown that the latter can be found in one out of every five adults, thereby showing the extent at which sound sleep is turning to an imaginary Gold for some individuals.
Furthermore, use of synthetic items to enhance sleep can be colossally addictive accompanied with accumulation in the body which may later revert in being toxic to ones health and some cases may lead to paralysis or defect in some body organs. For instance, the long term usage of alcohol to enhance sleep weakens the liver, thereby leading to cirrhosis, some sedatives affects normal homeostatic operation, while some do result into long term side effects, and in the process, damaging some organs due to accumulation. Illicit drugs used to enhance sleep may cause a one-time permanent damage to mans tissues and organs and it can also be addictive. Evidently, those who go to bed naturally and could sleep for eight hours without having to ingest any synthetic sleep enhancer are those who understands their body nature and are able to put their daily stress and challenges away from mind.
In conclusion, one should endeavor to control their mind as sound sleep is highly dependent on it and also one should monitor and understand their sleep cycle and also endeavor to meet the standard duration of sleep daily. It is therefore advisable to see a doctor/Physician/counselor for best help in achieving natural sound sleep.
