NO TO HATE ALL OVER

The Hate U Give “Little Infants” Fucks Everybody.
– TuPac Shakur

The children of the poor you refuse to train will not let your children have peace.
– Obafemi Awolowo

According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “Hate” is an extreme dislike or disgust. Wordweb Dictionary and Thesaurus describes Hate as the emotion of intense dislike; a feeling of dislike so strong that it demands action. I have always described hatred [Hate] as an emotional disease. Hate goes beyond the feeling that arise from anger, fear, or senses of physical, mental, spiritual, racial or sexual damage; it goes deeper to mal-administration, impunity, social inequality, corruption, religious hypocrisy and treachery.
The late TuPac Shakur used to have a tattoo on his belly that reads “THUG LIFE”. What comes to mind when a lot see this is "this guy is a thug and sympathizer of violence", but “THUG LIFE” is an acronym for “The Hate U Give Little Infants Fucks Everybody”. Literally, this means whatever bad or unjust the society gives “an infant” comes back to aggravate situations when “the infant” grows up and goes wild due to that hate. So, “THUG LIFE” is a warning to the society: if the continual raising of “infants” in an unjust and paranoid manner persists, then the cycle of criminality and injustice continues! The late Nigerian nationalist, Chief Obafemi Awolowo in an advice to leaders said “the children of the poor you refuse to train will not let your children have peace”. In one way or the other, the statement is related to what TuPac’s acronym stands for. We live in a country where the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Due to this, [the negligence of the poor by majority of the rich, influential government officials and some people I call “professional politicians”], over time, “the children of the poor have been left unattended to in terms of the proper training required to raise better citizens of the world; and in cases where efforts were made, despite these efforts not yielding enough positive results, they are gradually becoming history. A typical example is Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), a tertiary institution in Nigeria once accessible to the poor that is now being run on outrageous school fees, consciencelessness, cowardice and lack of respect for human rights!
When you fail to govern well, it is hate! When anyone becomes corrupt, what they give to the society is hate! When you give or collect bribe, you give hate to the society! When a religious leader deliberately preach heresy or extort money from adherents and followers, it is hate of the greatest order! When you deliberately increase school fees all because you want to generate revenue and commercialize education, boys see Cybercrime (Yahoo Yahoo) as a solution to their moneylessness and girls go into prostitution so you give hate to the society! This hate screw us all when people anywhere in the world get scammed on the internet and little girls die trying to give birth, contributing to their soaring maternal mortality rate or add to the negatively growing population!
Panacea? Stop giving “Hate” to the society! If you do not stop, the vicious cycle would not be broken. In addition, that “Hate” you roll out would screw everyone and no matter how deep your fortress is, directly or indirectly, it will get to you one day.
All in all, TuPac Shakur was trying to lecture us on how the system was designed against the black minority of The United States of America (USA) and Chief Obafemi Awolowo warned us not to design the system against ourselves.
It is never too late to stop designing the system against ourselves.
Say No to Hate! No to Hate all over the world!
