I WANT TO SHARE TWO LIFE LESSONS

I WANT TO SHARE TWO LIFE LESSONS

1. BUILD A GOOD REPUTATION
Reputation goes a long way in life. I will draw example from the cases of two women who once served as ministers in Nigeria: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Diezani Alisson-Madueke. Since the Obasanjo regime between 1999 and 2007, Nigerians know Ngozi Okonjo Iweala to be a brilliant, virtuous, hardworking and progressive woman. She served as the minister for finance during the regime and was reappointed to the same ministry as a minister during Goodluck Jonathan's time. The second woman, Diezani Alisson-Madueke worked with President Goodluck Jonathan in the NNPC and Petroleum ministry. During the period, the petroleum ministry and NNPC were sites of corruption and "looting extravaganza" in particular. So, majority of Nigerians know Alisson-Madueke as a bad, corrupt and a woman of dubious character. Close to the end of the Jonathan regime and after, both women faced troubles: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was accused of corruption and abuse of office (chiefly by the then governor of Edo state and now APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomole) while Diezani was accused of illegally possessing up to trillions of the country's money. In addition, Allison-Madueke had cancer after the regime.
Nigerians all over the media stood with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala believing she's incorruptible but against Diezani Alisson-Madueke. In fact, some believed Allison-Madueke was pretending to have had cancer in order to escape prosecution. Till now, The EFCC has nothing on Okonjo-Iweala but a lot on Alisson-Madueke.
Does anyone know the reason why Nigerians supported Okonjo-Iweala and rained curses on Alisson-Madueke after the Jonathan presidency? It is good reputation!
In anything you do in life, always try to be of reputable character so that people [and the media] would vouch for you in times of trouble even if it is not established that you are innocent. Of course good reputation cannot be built by being despicable, corrupt and disloyal, it is built by being incorruptible, avoiding abuse of position of trust, good service and loyalty to humanity.

2. DO NOT RAPE A WOMAN OR ABUSE HER PRIVACY WITH OR WITHOUT RECORDING.
I don't know if men [and boys] know not even prostitutes ever want to be raped, wives do not even want forced sex from husbands too. Rape is a serious offence against Nature, God and humanity. During rape or abuse of a woman's privacy, if anything happens under self-defense against the culprit and it leads to death or maiming, the woman is never guilty. I am not encouraging violence, but potential and serial rapists must know no woman that comes under rape or abuse of privacy will not attempt to defend herself, even her family might be involved and if anything bad happens to the culprit during such defense and involvement, then it just happen and nothing will happen.

Four hundred and sixty-five (465) words are enough for the wise.
Good morning.
