The Buffalo (Bison Bison) is a very large and gregarious animal. The male, called “Bull” could weigh up to 2000 lbs. (900 Kg). Within a group, the dominant male takes the leadership role. Remember they are gregarious – rarely would a single Buffalo be sighted grazing alone. The lion female (lioness) is a very fierce animal capable of attacking a herd of Buffalo because of its courage. But unfortunately, the highest weight lions could reach is 420 lbs. (190 Kg) so, it would take at least five fully grown lions to take down a single Buffalo. In addition, the lion might not survive a single stamp from a buffalo because of that weight. The wolf is another fierce carnivore just like lion but not as fast and successful in hunting as lion. A lot of prey would always outrun it. So, to ensure success in hunting, wolves hunt in groups (packs). When one runs and fails to catch the prey, it slows down and another one increases its speed, on and on like that until the prey is caught. The essence...
